Project example: Country seat near Oud Turnhout, Belgium
After having lived in several beautiful houses with matching gardens, in 1993 Peter Kantelberg decided to create an environment, which dovetails his wishes. The lot that he had in mind is situated at the edge of Oud Turnhout in a forested area with a splendid beech lane.
Slager Groenadvies BV was honoured with the opportunity to create the atmosphere in this environment. The beech lane was thereby of course the starting point. For this reason the front has been kept quiet in order to have one stray through the beech lane to the house with its huge mirrored pond. In the rear the accent is placed on the hedges and shrubs to give the park an extra dimension in order to alternate the view from the house. The swimming pool has its own closed garden. The area opposite of the brook, right behind the house, is woodland. Therefore here is not chosen for a completely new construction but for a step by step transforming to landscape a park with a large pond for the hundreds of water birds that live here. Together with the dogs and horses these animals take a special place in the park, they revive the walks.
